Why is brunch the most delicious meal on the planet? Because if you’re doing it right, brunch includes decadent food, alcohol, and a follow-up nap. As such, it could and should be enjoyed every day of the week!

Because we are committed to bringing our Guests information to help them get the most out of their visit to the Choice City, we embarked on an exhaustive study of all of the best brunch spots and rounded up the ones that are serving their morning menus seven days a week and are within walking, biking, or scootering distance from Remington Flats. We ranked them by distance but we’ll include our favorite dishes from each menu.

It was tough work…but our guests are worth it.

Cafe Vino is a Guest favorite for romantic dinner dates and happy hour but also because they offer a delicious breakfast menu of pastries and quiches, a lunch menu with amazing salads and thin crust pizza and a weekend brunch menu to die for. Because DUG has a sweet tooth his favorite is the Stuffed Challah French Toast. Annie loves the House Cold-Smoked Salmon but we both feel neither is complete without pairing the meal with something from their extensive breakfast cocktail list.

Rainbow Restaurant

212 W Laurel St 3 Blocks from Remington FlatsFacebook

We love Rainbow because it offers one of the best breakfast menus every day of the week, is vegan and vegitarian friendly, and we feel the only thing better than brunch itself is when it’s enjoyed on the best garden patio in Fort Collins. The menu is packed with meals that can satisfy every craving whether you’re a meat eater or not. DUG gets the Huevo’s paired with Mama’s Mule and Annie loves the Ultimate Latkes paired with a Funny Bunny.

Lucile’s Creole Cafe

400 S Meldrum St 5 Blocks from Remington FlatsFacebook

If you’ve stayed with us before and read our recommended restaurants you know that while Lucile’s is not top on OUR list, most people LOVE it (as is proved by the sometimes 30min plus wait for a table) therefore we feel it would do a disservice not to include it. Inspired by the family’s Creole history, what you should know is that the portions are huge and are unlike anything you’ll get in FoCo, including many dishes with Trout. Annie does love their famous Buttermilk Biscuit with Homemade Jam and DUG usually sticks with a classic breakfast of Eggs Eisenhower.

The Waffle Lab

Right around the corner from Choice City Butcher you’ll find The Waffle Lab. TWL began as one of Northern Colorado’s favorite food trucks and has become one of Fort Collins’ best breakfast, brunch and waffle destinations. Likely the only place in FoCo to get gourmet Belgian-style Liège waffles topped with everything from fruit to Nutella this spot is ideal for those who long for foods from their childhood-elevated! DUG’s favorite menu item is the BRAFFLE made with local bratwurst seared and served with warm sauerkraut & horseradish mustard, Annie keeps it simple with THE CAPRESE paired with the Great Greyhound.

Urban Egg Eatery

Urban Egg has something for everyone. It’s delicious and innovative menu includes Annie’s favorite breakfast, the White Bean Hummus Avocado Toast and DUG can’t get enough of their Chicken and Waffle Benedict. Offering five different kinds of Mimosa’s and a Build Your Own Bloody Mary Bar makes this one of our favorite Brunches in town.

Is your mouth watering yet?

Snooze

144 W Mountain Ave 8 Blocks from Remington Flats|Facebook

Snooze is arguably the trendiest spot in FoCo for breakfast/brunch and so if you go, plan to go early or be prepared for a long wait. If you appreciate a brunch menu including dessert pancakes, Benedicts served on toasted ciabatta, or a plant based breakfast paired with craft cocktails, then Snooze is your place. DUG digs the breakfast Taco’s and Annie loves anything off their Plant based menu. Finally, if the wait is TOO long for you, head over to Urban Egg which has a very similar vibe and menu.

Union Bar and Soda Fountain

250 Jefferson St 9 blocks from Remington Flats | Facebook

This old-school soda fountain and diner features an all-day brunch menu focused on American classics and mouthwatering comfort food. This eatery located in the FoCo River District has a modern and hip feel and a patio complete with corn-hole. Much to love about Union but in the words of our favorite realtor Kyle Basner, “Boozy Milkshakes. Need I say more?”

359 Linden St 9 Blocks from Remington Flats | Facebook

In November 2017, Ginger and Baker opened the doors to their café, market and bakery, restaurant (The Cache), teaching kitchen, and rooftop bar located inside the historic Northern Colorado Feeders Supply building. We were slow to recommend Ginger & Baker, but now we consider it a favorite place to eat in FoCo and our top pick for fellow Bruchaholics. Annie orders off the all day menu and her favorite is the Fall Panzanella Salad and DUG keeps it basic with the sausage egg sandwich. This simple yet fresh menu has us returning often.

HONORABLE MENTIONS
There are a couple of spots worth mentioning that are better suited for those who have a car.

La Crêperie & French Bakery of Fort Collins

2722 S College Ave | Facebook

La Crêperie is one of the only places in Fort Collins where you can find authentic French pastries made from scratch. With a menu that features crêpes, galettes, croissants, brioches, baguettes and more you’re sure to love this little FoCo Gem. If you’ve never tried our favorite Cocotte Brioche—two poached eggs nestled in a homemade butter brioche with mustard and Hollandaise sauce do yourself a favor, you’ll immediately be transported to Paris. Word of warning: They do not accept credit cards, cash only here.

The Backporch Cafe

1101 E Lincoln Ave | Facebook

This down-home, farmhouse restaurant serves standard breakfast fare including omelets, burritos, quiches, French toast and everything in between.

Butters

1103 W Elizabeth St | Facebook

This is the newest (as far as we know) breakfast spot in town. They offer a fresh approach to breakfast with local, natural ingredients and creative dishes made fresh each day. Their menu includes treats from the Griddle, Scrambles & Omelettes, Country Skillets, Classics and Breakfast Burgers & Sandwiches and of course…boozy breakfast drinks.
